In this video, see how to replace the gearbox oil on a Renault Trafic: the same procedure applies to the Opel Vivaro and Renault Master. The operation is recommended every 80,000 to 100,000 miles, and the oil to use is 75W80: you will need 2.9 litres, so purchase three cans. Lift the van and remove the protective panel secured by 4 side bolts and 3 central bolts. Pre-warm the oil to thin it, unscrew the filler cap to assist drainage, and place a large container to collect the used oil (which should then be disposed of at an authorised centre). Clean the cap, replace the copper washer, reattach the new cap, tightening it without overdoing it, insert the tube into the filler opening, and pour in the new oil: the level is checked by the oil flowing out of the opening when full. Secure the cap tightly. Refit the protective panel, and the operation is complete.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
