Changing Front Discs and Pads on Renault Trafic II
Model: Renault Trafic
MK 2
- Years 2001-2014
In this video, see how to change the front discs and pads on a Renault Trafic II: open the bonnet and remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir, lift the vehicle and remove the wheel; turn the disc, using a flat screwdriver, push the piston of the caliper back in, unscrew the two caliper bolts and disconnect the brake hose from the bracket. Secure the caliper to the spring of the shock absorber, avoiding tension on the hose; remove the old pads. Unscrew the caliper bracket bolts, remove the torx screws that secure the disc to the axle and take it off. Clean the axle with a wire brush and apply copper grease, clean the new disc with brake cleaner, mount the disc and screw in the torx 30 screw; lubricate the pads' supports with copper grease to prevent squeaking, insert them into the bracket and reposition the calipers, tightening the screws to 35 Nm with a torque wrench. Reconnect the brake hose and repeat on the other side. Refit the wheels and lower the vehicle. Pump the brake pedal (with the engine off) to reposition the pads. Avoid hard braking for about 50 miles.

In this video, see the removal and replacement of the timing belt and water pump on a Suzuki Vitara. Open the bonnet and lift it, securing it in place. Use a socket wrench to remove the cooling radiator along with the associated hoses. Disconnect the power wiring using pliers, and remove the plastic undertray with a screwdriver. Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt, and remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, reinstall the radiator with the securing bolts. by ScegliAuto More videos
