How to Dismantle the Front Headlight of the Renault Megane 2

To dismantle the front headlight of the Renault Megane 2, first free the bumper and the covering plastics. With the bonnet open, locate the area above the headlight where a plastic cover is secured with several expansion clips: these should be lifted with a flat screwdriver and removed to take off the cover and expose the top edge of the bumper and the headlight supports. Next, move to the lower part: in the wheel arch, at the corner of the bumper, unscrew the screws or clips that connect the bumper to the inner trim, then remove the lower fixings along the lip under the bumper. Once all anchor points are loosened, the bumper can be pulled forward; on the inner side, access the fog light and wiring, which must be disconnected before laying it down. With the bumper removed, the headlight is fully visible. At this point, locate the screws securing the projector to the upper cross member and the side structure: using a socket spanner, unscrew these screws, free the lower support, and disconnect the headlight's electrical connector from the back. Holding the unit with one hand, slide it outwards without forcing the plastic guides. The front headlight of the Renault Megane 2 is now dismantled and can be replaced, serviced, or polished off the vehicle; reassembly is done in reverse order, repositioning the projector, re-tightening the fixings, reconnecting the connectors, and reinstalling the bumper with all its clips and covers.
