Removing the Electric Lock on a Renault Scenic

To locate the automatic boot opening mechanism on a Renault Scenic, first remove the panel from the tailgate, which is secured with four screws at the corners. At this point, you can access and remove the mechanism. As shown in the video, to remove the lock, there is a small spring tab that needs to be moved, allowing it to come out of its housing. You can then replace the lock with a new one you have purchased, or leave the boot free for manual opening. Refit the panel by reversing the process.
