To replace the gear knob on a Renault Laguna, you need to pry at the bottom of the leather gaiter that surrounds the gear lever, so that the underlying clips can be detached. Once the gaiter is freed, you can lift it and turn the gear knob counter-clockwise to remove it from its position. At this point, insert the new knob and then secure the clips of the gaiter at the base: this way, you can ensure there are no issues during gear changes.
