Before you begin, sit in the front passenger seat of your Renault Laguna and pull the handbrake. Start by detaching the gaiter from the gear lever. Then, using a thin but sturdy tool, pry off the upper cover of the gear knob. Once you have removed the upper cover, you can detach and remove the gear knob itself. After completing this step, you can fully remove the gear knob, successfully finishing the disassembly.
