What to do when the engine failure warning light comes on on Renault Scenic?

When the engine failure warning light comes on on our car followed by the indication "risk of engine failure" we absolutely have to carry out a diagnosis by identifying the errors present on the control unit, usually the error codes that we identify concern the glow plug heating system and the other, the anti-pollution system. At first glance, the two things would not seem linked but in reality one is the consequence of the other, i.e. a failure of the glow plugs could cause the exhaust gas regeneration temperature to not be maintained and therefore interrupt the particulate filter cleaning process. The first thing to do, therefore, is to replace the glow plugs and clear the errors.
