How to Change the UCH Central Body Unit on a Renault Megane Scenic 2

The UCH is the central body unit and is the junction point for more than 10 control units. It is the beating heart of the Renault, a true "master control unit". It is located behind the fuse box, between the steering column and the driver's door. The video shows how to access it. Always remember to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before working on a vehicle's electrical system. You need to remove a significant portion of the dashboard, including the outer trim and the fuse box. Behind it, there is a plate with a central screw. This is our UCH. Pulling it towards you reveals many connectors with an infinite number of wiring. The new plate costs around £82.00 on major e-commerce platforms. Reinstalling it is a delicate operation, as you must not make mistakes when reconnecting the terminals. Then simply reattach the central screw, and the UCH will be back in place. Now, reconnect the fuse box and patiently reassemble the dashboard around the steering wheel. The job is done.
