To perform certain maintenance tasks, such as reading error codes from the control unit, it is necessary to know where the EOBD port is located. This acronym stands for European On Board Diagnostic, and by connecting an OBDII reader to it, a device that costs just a few dozen pounds, you can read all the errors that accumulate in your control unit. Normally, the EOBD socket is located between the steering wheel and the driver's door, but Renault has cleverly hidden it in the centre console, under a plastic cover, which you need to pry off with a small screwdriver: there it is.
