If when opening the door you no longer hear the clicks that hold it in the intermediate and fully open position, and you may also hear a noise, it means the door stay is damaged: it is an inexpensive replacement and easy to fit, although it is necessary to remove the door trim panel. Once the door panel is removed, unscrew the mounting pins of the stay from the pillar side, and then the nuts that secure the stay to the door; at this point, pull the stay out from inside the door and insert the new one, proceeding in reverse for the installation.
