- Years 2003-2009 Let's see thanks to this very short video tutorial the necessary steps to reset the handbrake on a second-generation Renault Scenic, model produced from 2003 to 2009. First, insert the key and briefly press the ignition button to turn on the vehicle's instrument panel without starting the engine. Now, with the passenger side door open, remove the key and hold down the lock button together with the start button for about five seconds. After doing this, the handbrake light will start flashing. Then, simultaneously, press and pull the button and the handbrake lever to complete the reset.
