In the Renault Megane, it may happen that the boot lid won't open, for example, due to a fault with the control button or the lock actuator. In these cases, you can perform the emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this video.

First, open the rear doors, then lower the backrest of the seat by operating the respective lever. Next, position yourself inside the boot, undo the indicated screws, and remove the inner plastic panel.

At this point, you will be able to manually unlock the lock and open the boot lid.
