Renault Clio - Video tutorial

Model: Renault Clio Clio IV, Clio 4, MK 4 - Years 2012-2019
Part: Shock absorbers
Operation: Replacement of front shock absorbers

To replace the front shock absorbers it is first of all necessary to have the appropriate clamps to crush the springs; start by lifting the car on the bridge and removing the front wheel; spray the release spray on the pins, release the rubber grommets, remove the support brackets and disconnect the connecting rod from the shock absorber and then remove the two pins that secure the shock absorber to the hub support; lower the car to access the engine compartment and remove the wiper blades in order to be able to remove the plastic cover located under the windscreen and access the domes; at this point unscrew the fixing nuts of the shock absorber support and extract it from its seat; apply the clamps to the spring and squeeze it just enough to be able to disassemble the support from the stem; insert the new bellows, the spring and a new support on the stem, orienting it correctly and then proceed backwards for installation on board the car.
