How to Replace the Rear Shock Absorbers

Model: Renault Clio MK 4, Clio 4, Clio IV - Years 2012-2019
Part: Shocks

Lift the car with a jack or on a ramp at the location of the shock absorber to be replaced. Remove the wheel. Open the boot lid and remove the shelf behind the seat. Lower the backrest and take out the boot mat. Remove the plastic covers located at the bottom and sides of the compartment. Raise the wheel with a hydraulic jack to relieve tension from the shock absorber. Remove the side mat and, once you locate the bolt that secures the shock absorber, undo it. Undo the bolt that secures it at the bottom, near the wheel, and you can then remove it. Take the new shock absorber and install it in the same position. Repeat all the steps in reverse order. The car on which this maintenance operation is performed, as shown in the images, is a Renault Clio.
