Removing and replacing the gear knob on the Renault Megane is a very simple operation. First, get inside the vehicle and pull the gear knob upwards with force to remove it from the gear lever; disconnect and replace the gear gaiter if necessary, removing it from the base.

At this point, insert and securely fix the new gear knob, ensuring there is no play between the knob and the gear lever; if necessary, use a tie wrap between the gaiter and the gear knob.
