To replace the gear knob on a Renault Megane, grip the old knob and rotate it anti-clockwise: this will release it from the end of the lever, allowing for complete removal. After removal, detach the leather gaiter at the base by unclipping it and remove the old gaiter entirely. At this point, insert the new gaiter, securing it at the base, and then fit the new gear knob: ensure that all parts are securely fastened and function correctly during gear changes.
