To adjust the timing chain on a Renault Koleos, access the side of the engine block by removing the protective panel under which the timing chain is located: this must be adjusted by aligning the marks on the chain with those on the sprockets. Once the chain is correctly positioned, tension it by inserting the two chain tensioners in the centre; this will allow you to verify that the engine operates correctly by reinstalling the panel.
