Replacing the Air Filter on a Renault Megane

Replacing the air filter that feeds the injection system of the Renault Megane is an important task that allows the engine to breathe better and keeps fuel consumption in check. To change it, open the bonnet of the engine compartment, unscrew the screw that secures the inlet pipe to the manifold, remove the manifold, disconnect the breather pipe, and unscrew the two bolts securing the filter box cover. Remove the cover, slide out the old filter element, clean the housing, and fit the new filter. Replace the cover and secure it with its screws. Reconnect the breather pipe, reattach the manifold, insert the inlet pipe, and secure it with the screws.
