In this video we can see how it is possible to remove the start button on a Renault Espace IV: in this case the reason is to insert a diode internally to provide backlighting to the button. To remove it, we must remove the gear shift knob, in order to enter inside with our hands and push it out. There are two clips that can be easily removed; then we remove the electrical connector, using a thin screwdriver. We separate the button, which is composed of two halves, by pressing on the four pins on the sides. The youtuber shows us how he inserted the diodes inside the button, even though he finds that the light is perhaps too strong for his taste.
