The cabin air filter is located in the engine compartment on the passenger side. Therefore, open the front hood and make sure that it is supported in safety conditions. Remove the gasket present along the edge of the bonnet, immediately under the windscreen, lift the plastic cover and intercept the passenger compartment air filter. Release the filter fixing tab and extract it from its seat. Then insert the new filter, with respect to the direction of the air flow, and re-hook the fixing tab. Finally reposition the plastic cover and the gasket previously removed.

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts.
