Replacing the number plate light on a Seat Altea. Learn how to replace the damaged bulb. Open the boot lid, and using a screwdriver or plastic lever, unscrew the securing screws of the plastic light fitting in the tailgate. Once the light fitting is removed, disconnect the bulb holder, then the bulb itself. Fit the new bulb (same size and voltage) and reinstall the light fitting into the tailgate (screw in the securing screws at the sides of the fitting). Test the correct operation of the previously installed bulb.
