To adjust the handbrake on a Seat Ibiza, turn off the car, deactivate the handbrake, and put it in first gear to prevent movement. To perform the adjustment, sit in the back seats and open the cover at the end of the centre tunnel, behind the handbrake. Once the cover is opened, remove the ashtray to access the cables. To adjust the handbrake tension, loosen or tighten the clamp using a 10 mm spanner. When the adjustment is complete, reinsert the ashtray and close the cover.
