In order not to break the plastic arm, grab the wiper on the right and left side and pull it towards you, until it detaches from its seat (arm). Once detached, you can fit the new windshield wiper; if you look at the center of the new windshield wiper, you see that there is an attachment, which goes into the central socket of the arm. Once inserted you can lower your arm and that's it.
