How to change the engine oil and oil filter on a Skoda Fabia III petrol.

Let's see how to change the oil and filter on a Skoda Fabia III petrol: we start by opening the hood and unscrewing the oil cap. We lift the front of the vehicle and unscrew the oil drain plug; in the meantime, we will have placed a large container underneath to collect the used oil (we will dispose of it along with the filter at an authorized center). The filter is located at the top, on the side of the engine; let's unscrew it, making sure that the gasket comes off with the filter as well. We clean the mounting surface on the engine block thoroughly, prepare the new filter by lubricating the new gasket with clean oil, and screw the filter on by hand. We go under the vehicle and install a new plug and a new gasket, lower the car, and fill it with about 90% of the oil capacity. We start the engine and let it run for a couple of minutes at idle. Then we wait a few minutes to allow the oil to drain and measure the oil level, adding more oil until we reach the maximum level on the dipstick.
