How to Replace the Key Battery of a Skoda Octavia

Let's look at disassembling the key remote of a Skoda Octavia. Take the remote and press the button to release the metal key; once the metal key is out, use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key (in the space where the metal key fits). Pry until the two plastics separate, then remove the battery to be replaced. Install the new small battery in the remote cover and join the two covers (plastic cover cap). Check the correct operation of the remote by pressing the buttons.
