How to Replace the Key Battery of a Skoda

Model: Skoda Octavia MK 3, 5E - Years 2012-2019

To open the key/remote of any Skoda car, take the key and rotate the metal key (around its pivot) out of its housing. At this point, use a small screwdriver or a small plastic lever to pry from inside the metal key housing. This way, you can remove the cover of the battery compartment (the one opposite the buttons). Now you have access to the battery. Remove it from its seat and replace it with the new battery. Refit the cover, and you're done!

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
