How to Solve Water Infiltration in the Cabin and Dismantle the Door Panel

Model: Skoda Fabia 6Y, Mark1 - Years 1999-2007

The guide shows how to quickly and economically resolve the water infiltration that occurs in the cabin of some models.
The video shows how water penetrates to the bottom of the door pocket, then draining into the cabin; to solve the problem, first dismantle the panel, extract the window winding handle by sliding the adjacent part of the panel upwards and pulling the handle towards you, remove the cover in front of the opening handle, using a screwdriver to gently pry it off. Now dismantle the plastics of the armrest, as shown in the guide, which will give you access to the three screws holding the panel; unscrew them and lever between the panel and the body with a plastic spatula until the panel is free.
At this point, ensure that the plastic clips holding the panel are all functional; if not, replace them. Regarding the door, the guide shows the area affected by the infiltration problem; simply apply silicone over the entire area, allow it to dry, and then reassemble the door panel.
