How to Replace the Outer Handle on the Škoda Fabia?

To replace the outer handle on the Škoda Fabia, open the door and unscrew the screw at the lock cylinder: this will allow it to be extracted from its housing and disconnected. Then, loosen the screws that secure the inner door trim panel so that it can be removed to access the underlying components. The lock can now be freed from the inside by loosening the screws that secure it and disconnecting its connectors: this way, you can insert the new lock, then insert the handle and check its operation.
