How to Remove the Rear Light on a Skoda Fabia

To change the rear light on a Skoda Fabia, you need to remove the rear pillar that protects the boot area. There are only two visible screws to remove, along with the rubber seal surrounding the tailgate. At this point, using a screwdriver, you can pry off the plastic pillar, which is secured with pressure screws (be careful not to break them). The side pillars of the rear boot, which are clipped in, will come off easily, but pay attention to the metal clips holding the pillars: do not lose them, and replace them in their slots immediately. Now, only the trim of the boot area, which is merely resting, separates you from the back of the light unit. There are just 4 screws and the electrical connector, and the light is removed. Now you can replace the light unit you have already procured and reassemble everything in reverse order.
