Skoda Octavia - Video tutorial

Model: Skoda Octavia 1U, MK 1 - Years 1996-2004
Part: Suspensions
Operation: Rear suspension spring replacement

The replacement of the rear suspension springs is very simple to carry out: start by lifting the car and removing the rear wheel: secure the car on suitable car stands rather than leave it suspended on the jack; then apply a jack under the shock absorber support, disassemble the pin fixing the shock absorber to the support and lower the jack so as to lower the suspension and remove the spring (if necessary, lower the suspension again with a large lever or with the jack); insert the new spring, raise the suspension and refit the shock absorber fixing pin and then the wheel.

How to open the Fiat Panda petrol tank flap

In this video we proceed to the explanation, also verbal, of the technical operation of the opening and closing of the petrol tank cap. With the ignition on, the fuel cap, or rather the fuel filler flap, is open and therefore accessible. When trying to turn off the aforementioned ignition and then lock the car with the key, it is assumed that the petrol door, as well as the doors of the car, are closed, but this is not the case, in fact the latter in practice always remains open. Ultimately, you can access the fuel tank whether the car is closed or open.
