If the smart key of your Volkswagen Polo has stopped working and you cannot open the car door, follow the instructions in this mini guide. First, take your key, press the metal button located at the top, and release the physical emergency key. Then, go to the door handle, pull it with your hand, and simultaneously remove the plastic side cover.

Once this is done, insert the key into the appropriate slot and turn it to unlock the door.
