Opening the fuel cap on a Skoda Octavia is a simple operation necessary for refuelling. To open the fuel flap, keep the key inserted in the ignition while the ignition and engine are off, engage the handbrake, and then push the flap inward. This will open the flap, allowing you to remove the cap for refuelling. Once finished, replace the cap and push the flap inward to close it. You cannot open the fuel flap if the car is running or if the key is not inserted.
