This brief tutorial outlines the procedure to reset the service light, which indicates the remaining life of the engine oil, on a Skoda Octavia, first generation model produced from 1996 to 2004. Start by pressing and holding the button on the right side of the speedometer, then turn on the ignition without starting the engine.

Once the "service" message appears, release the button and rotate the button on the left side of the speedometer clockwise to complete the process.

Finally, restart the vehicle to verify the service light has been reset.
