During an oil change, it is advisable to also check the condition of the engine air filter and perhaps clean or replace it: unscrew the fixing screws of the air filter housing cover, disconnect the mass air sensor connector to facilitate removal, extract the old filter, and insert the new one, then reposition the cover and the sensor connector; next, place the vehicle on suitable axle stands, position a container to collect the used oil (a cut side canister works perfectly) under the sump, and unscrew the drain plug; once the draining is complete, re-screw the plug, possibly replacing the copper washer; then remove the cover above the engine, unscrew the oil filter housing plug, and extract the old cartridge; insert the new cartridge and new O-ring seals before reassembling the filter; finally, fill the engine with clean oil until the level is reached.
