The service and engine oil change lights activate on the instrument panel of a vehicle when it is necessary to perform an oil change and service, which occurs after reaching a total mileage. To reset the service light on a Skoda Octavia model 2, turn on the ignition and immediately press the button next to the odometer. Hold the button for about 5 seconds, then release it and rotate it to set the next mileage for the engine oil change. After completing the procedure, return to the main menu and restart the instrument panel.
