How to Change the Air Filter of the Skoda Octavia II Diesel

Let’s see how to change the air filter on a Skoda Octavia II diesel: with the engine cold, open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. The air filter box is a black plastic box located in front of the driver (left-hand drive). Locate the large flexible hose that enters the rear flange of the air box. At the end of the hose, there is a metal clamp; use pliers to widen the clamp and disconnect the hose from its seat, using a flat screwdriver. On the top side of the box, there are six star screws; unscrew them, lift the cover, remove the old filter, clean the container well - being careful not to let dirt fall into the intake hose - insert the new filter, close the cover, reconnect the air hose, slide the clamp back into its original position, reconnect the negative terminal of the battery, and you’re done.
