How to replace the air filter on the Skoda Octavia II petrol model

Let's see how to replace the air filter on a Skoda Octavia II petrol engine: open the hood and locate the air box, which is a black plastic container usually located at the front of the engine compartment. Find the electrical connector on the air intake hose, simply disconnecting the connector by pressing the clip. Loosen the clamp that secures the hose to the air box. You can use pliers or a screwdriver; if the ring is difficult to remove, use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry it off and help unlock it. Then use a star screwdriver to unscrew the 6 screws that secure the top cover of the box. Lift the cover and remove the filter. Clean the container well from dust and residue, then place the new and clean filter in its place; close the cover, reassemble the hose, reconnect the airflow meter, and the operation is complete.
