How to Change the Engine Oil Filter on a Skoda Octavia

In this guide, lift your car on a column lift or jack and use a socket spanner to unscrew the oil filter from the engine block. Ensure the plug is securely attached to the metal base. Unscrew the bolt located under the sump with the appropriate socket spanner to allow the oil to drain into a container for future disposal. After all the oil has drained, refit the bolt in the sump and install the new filter. Finally, top up the oil reservoir with new fluid according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
