How do you replace the steering angle sensor of the Smart Roadster?

Model: Smart Smart 452, Roadster - Years 2003-2005
Part: Checks and maintenance

In order to replace the steering angle sensor of the Smart Roadster, you need to loosen the central nut located at the back of the steering wheel, behind the central airbag. Once the steering wheel has been removed, you will be able to locate the steering angle sensor at the back of the piece: you will need to disconnect the cables connected to the sensor, so that it can be completely removed from its housing. After removal, you can proceed to insert the new replacement part, mounting the steering wheel back onto its housing.
