How to Remove the Front Seat from a Smart Fortwo

Here’s how to remove the front seat from a Smart Fortwo: move the seat back (using the electric buttons if available) and raise the seat base, then unscrew the securing bolts on the front rail using a socket spanner. Move the seat forward using the adjustment buttons and remove the securing bolts from the rear of the rail. Finally, disconnect the power connectors for the front seat (power and airbag) and remove the seat from the cabin. Refit the front seat by following the disassembly steps mentioned earlier.
