How to remove the original radio on a Smart Fortwo? Follow these steps: turn off the radio, then use levers (plastic or metal) to detach the car stereo. Use the levers to remove the plastic trim around the stereo; unscrew the securing screws of the stereo (as shown in the video) and extract the radio, being careful with the various wiring (disconnect the power connectors and the antenna cable). Refit the original radio or a generic brand with the appropriate adapter for the power connectors and housing.
