You can replace the radio in a Smart ForTwo by opening the glove compartment located immediately below the device: once the glove compartment is open, you can insert the release keys into the now accessible holes. You will also need to insert them into the other two side holes that will already be accessible: this way, the device can be extracted by disconnecting the connectors at the back. These can then be connected to the new device to verify that everything works.
