You can replace the front brake shoes on a Smart ForTwo by first lifting the car with a jack or ramp, ensuring the corresponding wheels are off the ground. Once lifted, remove the wheels from the hubs to access the brakes.

These must now be freed from the drums by loosening the screws, and once removed, you can locate the shoes. The shoes can now be released from their mechanism by inserting the new replacement parts.
