How to Replace the Clutch on a Smart?

You can replace the clutch on a Smart by accessing the lower part of the engine compartment, which is at the rear for this model: once you locate the gearbox, loosen the screws that secure it to its housing and disconnect all corresponding connectors. Once the gearbox has been removed, you can find the clutch near the flywheel: by loosening the corresponding fastening screws, you can remove the clutch disc and insert the new replacement part.
