How to Reset the Service Light on a Smart

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007

You can completely clear the service light from the instrument panel of the Smart by turning on the ignition, turning the key in the corresponding ignition switch. Once the ignition is on, press and hold the button located at the top left. This will cause the service light on the instrument panel to start flashing until it turns off completely; once the service light has been deactivated, you can switch off the instrument panel. When you turn it on again, you will notice that the light does not appear on the display.
