Window regulator replacement on a Smart Fortwo

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015
Part: Windshield wipers

How to replace the wipers on a Smart? Let's see how the brushes are disassembled. Take the front brush (to be replaced) with your hands, pull the movable brush (gently without breaking it) and slide it off the operating arm. We mount the new brush on the arm (if the brush is not original we have to detach the piece as shown in the video), we will hear a hooking tack. Finally we lower the wiper arm on the windshield and carry out the same operation on the second blade. We test the new mounted brushes. We turn on the instrument panel and operate the brushes with the control levers.

How to remove the driver’s side door panel on a Volkswagen Polo? This video explains the procedure. Before starting the disassembly, disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay. Use a lever to pry off the handle cover (remove the piece), then, with a screwdriver, unscrew the fastening screws in the handle inside the door panel. Unscrew the screws located in the plastic of the door opening lever. Use the lever to detach the retaining clips around the perimeter of the door panel. Finally, grasp the panel with your hands and lever it off the door. Disconnect the cable from the door opening lever and the power connectors for the window switch.
