Replacing Boot Struts on Smart 450

Removing the hydraulic struts for the rear glass on a Smart 450 is quite simple: just lift the glass and detach the rings using a flat-head screwdriver, inserting it into the designated space and levering, as shown in the video. Once detached at the rear, near the bodywork, you can proceed to the attachment for the glass by pulling and rotating the strut by hand. To fit the new strut, simply slot it into the two attachments with a bit of force. If you need to replace both struts, be careful and support the glass.
