Smart Fortwo Key Battery Replacement

Model: Smart Smart 453 - Years 2014-2022
Part: Key

Looking at the key casing, you will notice a small screw on one side that you can remove with a small cross-head screwdriver. Once done, you will see a small slot on the opposite side of the casing from the key: lever in this slot (for example, with a small flat screwdriver or any sharp tool) and open the casing. You will now find the CR2016 3 Volt battery: remove it using the small flat screwdriver, and insert the new one you purchased. Close the key casing and you're done.
