Where is the battery of the Smart Fortwo located

Do we want to replace the car battery? We don't know where to find it? Let's see where the Smart battery is located. We open the car door and pull up the carpeted floor covering inside the passenger compartment. Once the floor compartment has been opened, we will find the battery at the bottom; disassemble the locking pins of the battery terminals, then, remove it from the containment compartment and replace it with a new one (same voltage). We mount the battery protection cover and then fix the carpet cover mat. We start the engine of the Smart for a functional test.
