Where is the battery located in the Smart ForTwo?

In this video we can see where the battery is located in the Smart ForTwo and how to proceed in case we need to replace it. As shown, the battery is not located in the classic front compartment but inside the cabin, in front of the passenger seat. Before replacing it, make sure the key is not inserted, then go inside the cabin and lift the passenger mat. Then remove the protective panel, disconnect both terminals starting from the negative one and unscrew the fixing bracket nut. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
